Miroslav Philharmonik 2

Postby ocean » Fri Dec 06, 2019 5:42 pm

Hi!

Has anyone had any experience trying to run this Vst through Wine or Crossover?
I own the original Miroslav, but it's 32bit and refuses to work in FLStudio (64-bit)... It just hangs.
And FLStudio 32bit will not recognize my midi keyboard. So, I'm stuck.

Which is why I'm thinking of buying Miroslav #2.

Any thoughts are welcome.

Hi, I have Miroslav 2 CE, about 10 gig sample collection, in a puppy linux,
'Bionic 64'.

http://www.murga-linux.com/puppy/viewtopic.php?t=115823

Based on Ubuntu bionic repos, kernel 5.05, older wine 3.15,
seems to work well, along with IK's SampleTank 3 and Syntronik.

I use Reaper for daw, good 32 bit support, 60 day demo etc
Excellent results in linux native, and with wine.
Far fewer issues than any competing daw, and better plugin support.

IK products work well in nicely configured linux/wine,
Amplitube, T-Racks, SampleTank, and extra versions like
older Sonik Synth 2, SampleMoog etc

Should be fine in the commercial Studio 1337 distro,
Mint Linux, Ubuntu Studio etc etc
Cheers

Thank you for replying.

I decided to go for it thinking if all else fails, my wife has a windows laptop I could (possibly  ) borrow from time to time.
Anyway, the plugin itself seems to be running great, but I can't get the authorization manager (which seems to be a 32 bit app) to run at all.
I'm using Crossover 18.5.0 with a 64bit Windows 7 bottle.

Would you happen to have any ideas?

Thanks.

Hey! I seem to have been able to solve the issue.

I installed the Authorization Manager through PlayOnLinux rather than directly in Crossover. It ran, and I was able to register Miroslav2.
I didn't know POL and Crossover would be able to access eachothers installations like that. Nice! :D :D :D

:D Congrats on the discovery :D
I really like the pianos and acoustic guitars in my CE version,
and it's cool to have cellos for some rumble. Like in the theme
from Shetland, year 2.

The IK authorization manager works fine in most normal wine setups,
a nice system for people with a few IK purchases over the years.
Cheers
