FISL17 (http://softwarelivre.org/fisl17?lang=en) is happening from July 13th to 16th and I'll be there with the 'Free Multimedia Sprint', a kind of hackaton to create free/open resources for art and music. The end goal is to create brand new and/or organize existing resources with open licenses and open formats - e. g. - sound samples, soundfonts, tutorials, graphics, icons, textures, etc...
FISL is a big (maybe THE biggest?) FOSS event in South America so I expect there'll be at least a few people from the forum attending. If anyone wants to meet during the event or participate in the workshop please get in touch
I'll probably also organize one or more workshops about music production in Linux inside the hackerspaces area. Keep an eye on it!
Discuss how to promote using FLOSS to make music.
